Joel Morais Fernandes lives in Timor Leste, one of the poorest countries in the world. After a motorbike accident left him a paraplegic, Joel became an advocate for others with a disability. When he met Australian and fellow humanitarian, Helen Nixon, his life was to change once again; after overcoming stigma and cultural differences the couple are about to get married.
